Home stories - Lies

Meet Lies, Sales Operations Manager, and her beautiful family. Although Lies has been with the Gray Label team for just a little over a year, it feels like she's been part of the family for much longer. Living in Bussum with her husband Hans and three kids. Jan (7), Teun (5) and baby Marie (1). We are happy to introduce you to these warm joyful people in their welcoming family home.

Please introduce yourself and your family members? Where did the two of you meet?

Hans and I met 14 years ago while studying in Amsterdam. We have three children. Jan is our sweet energetic dreamer and I love to see how proud he is when he scores or runs super fast. Teun is the biggest cuddler, he is incredibly gentle and sensitive and is always in for a joke. Marie, our youngest and first girl. She has a constant smile on her face, and it's heartwarming to see her reactions when she's with her big brothers.

Via a very nice internship at the Modefabriek 13 years ago.

What is your role?

As the Wholesale Operations Manager, I oversee all operational aspects related to wholesale. And I am also one of the lucky ones representing Gray Label at Playtime in Paris. Something I really love.

What are you most proud of?

I guess my lovely family and how we manage it all together. Some moments are hectic and chaotic, but I love that at the same time.

Can’t wait for…

Summer holidays! Having lunch outside with all my colleagues in the garden. And just being outside the whole day, wearing just shorts and tees (of the new collection of course) and having drinks in the sun.

What’s your favorite Gray Label item and why?

The dropped shoulder sweater! Although I am also a big fan of the leggings and socks. What I love the most about the dropped shoulder sweater is the oversized fit, which makes it so unisex and of course the quality of the fabric, so soft and it stays really beautiful.

What does an ideal weekend day look like?

Having drinks with friends and the next morning  just taking it slow, have a coffee in bed together and start the day as a family at the big table having breakfast and go outside afterwards.
